From the beginning, people have been offering sacrifices to please Allah. But Allah has reminded us again and again; He doesn’t want the blood or meat of the animals, He wants the devotion and obedience of our hearts. That’s why He sent His Son, Isa (Jesus), the Messiah, who became the ultimate sacrifice for everyone. Now, we need no longer to sacrifice animals. He doesn’t want us to literally sacrifice our own bodies; instead, He wants us to offer ourselves to Him while we are alive. This means that our daily lives should be holy, obedient to His Holy Word, free from sin and living a life of faith, kindness and truth. Let us worship Him willingly and sincerely, surrendering ourselves to fulfill His will, and this is the true meaning of living sacrifice and acceptable worship to Allah.
"Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you."— Surah Al-Hajj, 22:37
'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.- ' John 3:16
'“The multitude of your sacrifices— what are they to me?” says the Lord . “I have more than enough of burnt offerings, of rams and the fat of fattened animals; I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats. When you come to appear before me, who has asked this of you, this trampling of my courts? Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations— I cannot bear your worthless assemblies. '- Isaiah 1:11-13
'Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. '- Romans 12:1
